Thanks to the support of St. Therese parishioners, our young parishioner and cantor Astrid Liden was able to attend World Youth Day in Portugal just a few short weeks ago. This would not have been possible without the generous financial support and prayers from the St. Therese community. Astrid is so grateful to have had the opportunity to travel to Portugal for the WYD, meet so many other young Catholics, hear the messages of Pope Francis for the young Church, and celebrate the joy of our Catholic faith!

Astrid will be hosting a thank you event on Thursday, August 31st at 6:30 pm in the Community Room to show gratitude to parishioners who contributed both financially and with prayers for her time at World Youth Day. She will also be sharing more about her encounter at WYD and the experience of being in community with over 1.5 million other Catholic youth. Light snacks and drinks will be served.
