Meet Fr. Andrie
Pastor at the Church of St. Therese (2016-Present)
It all started when…
Father Andrie was born in Hastings and grew up in Inver Grove Heights. He is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame in 1999 (B.B.A. in Finance). After graduation, Fr. Andrie worked in downtown Minneapolis at a financial company for four and half years.
Fr. Andrie also obtained an M.A. in Catholics Studies during this time.
Fr. Andrie returned to school full time to obtain an M.A. in Education at the College of William & Mary in Virginia in 2005. After obtaining his degree in 2006, he worked as a teacher for two years. The first year he taught fifth grade math and science at a Catholic school, while the second year he taught high school algebra at a public school. Both schools were in the Commonwealth of VA.
Fr. Andrie began his formation with the Diocese of Richmond in VA in 2008 and studied for two years at the Catholic University of America in Washington D.C. After much prayer and discernment, he returned home to the Archdiocese of St. Paul and Minneapolis and continued his studies at The St. Paul Seminary School of Divinity. He obtained an M.A. in Divinity and an M.A. in Theology in 2013. He was ordained a priest for the Archdiocese in 2013.
Fr. Andrie served as parochial vicar at St. Joseph parish in West St. Paul for three years. In June 2015, he was named Temporary Parochial Administrator of St. Joseph’s while Fr. Creagan was serving as a military chaplain for six months. He also served as high school chaplain to Visitation School in Mendota Heights (2 years) and Hill-Murray School in Maplewood (1 year).
Fr. Andrie is extremely humbled to have been asked to serve at St. Therese Parish in Deephaven by Archbishop Hebda. He enjoys serving the parish and working together to build a joyful and faith-filled community rooted in the love and mercy of Christ.
