A sacrament is an outward sign, instituted by Christ, that gives grace: a real encounter with Jesus at the most important moments of life. At St. Therese, the seven Sacraments are the heartbeat of everything we do: through them we are welcomed into God’s family, fed, forgiven, strengthened, healed, and sent.

Baptism
The entrance into the life of God. Baptism cleanses us from original sin, makes us members of the Church, and adopted children of God, whether received as an infant or as an adult. Visit our Baptism page to begin.
Reconciliation (Confession)
God’s unconditional mercy and forgiveness, reconciling the sinner to God and the Church. Confession is offered every week at St. Therese; see our Reconciliation page for times and preparation.
The Eucharist
The Eucharist, or Holy Communion, is the heart of the Church’s life, both a sacrifice and a meal, in which Jesus is truly present: body, blood, soul, and divinity. Children typically prepare for First Communion in second grade; see our First Communion page.
Confirmation
Confirmation deepens our baptismal gifts and equips us for active participation in the worship and apostolic life of the Church. It is one of the three Sacraments of Initiation. Marriage
Marriage is a sacred covenant that joins one man and one woman totally to each other in complete self-gift, a lifelong commitment that unites the couple and leads to new life. Recently engaged? Congratulations. See our Marriage page to begin preparation and reserve a date.
Holy Orders
Through ordination, a man is given the grace and spiritual power to sanctify others through the administration of the Sacraments. Sensing a call to the priesthood or diaconate? See our Holy Orders page.
Anointing of the Sick
A Sacrament of healing and comfort for those undergoing suffering, received when someone is in danger of death, seriously ill, or before surgery. See our Anointing of the Sick page, and never hesitate to call.
Becoming Catholic
Adults interested in the Catholic faith prepare for the Sacraments through OCIA, the Order of Christian Initiation for Adults. Curiosity is enough to begin; see our Becoming Catholic page.
