Our mission is to inspire youth to an ongoing encounter with Christ in His Church and to empower each one to live their whole life in His love. High School Youth Discipleship Ministry lives this out through thought-provoking formation, habit-forming prayer, and opportunities for authentic friendship.
Ways to Grow
Life is messy. Faith is real. Let’s figure it out together. Embark is our Wednesday night high school program where students grow in their Catholic faith, build lasting friendships, and see how following Christ shapes everyday life. Teens enjoy meaningful conversations, interactive evenings with laughter and prayer, and a welcoming community where they belong. Confirmation isn’t the finish line; it’s the start of a lifelong adventure.
Small groups are the primary means of high school Faith Formation at St. Therese: a chance to build community, pray with friends, and learn more about the faith with mentoring in Christian life. They are also flexible. Once started, participants, in consultation with their mentors, pick what they study, and groups usually meet for an hour once a week at the church. To join one or start one, email hsym@st-therese.org.
Prayer is the lifeblood of our ministry. Members of Prayer Corps are given a list of names from our Faith Formation community and asked to pray for them every day over the course of the school year, in whatever way suits them. It is a very accessible and flexible ministry, and an important one: our hope is that every student, family member, and volunteer in our program has someone praying for them by name. Sign up here, or email prayercorps@st-therese.org.
Each summer, St. Therese teens can join thousands of young people at a Steubenville Youth Conference: incredible music, powerful messages, and high-energy fun that inspires, challenges, and reminds them who God created them to be. Scholarship support is available; for this year’s details and cost, email hsym@st-therese.org.
High school leaders play a vital role at Extreme Faith Camp. Prayer Team members serve behind the scenes as the spiritual heart of camp, interceding for the whole week and receiving intentional formation along the way. Extreme Team members guide small groups of middle school campers as role models and older brothers and sisters in Christ. If you are interested in either team, email efc@st-therese.org.
Confirmation
We are dedicated to helping your son or daughter grow in their relationship with Jesus and love for His Church as they prepare for this holy Sacrament. See our Confirmation page for the full picture.
