Marriage

Wedding at St. Therese

Marriage is one of life’s greatest blessings: a lifelong journey of love, faith, and commitment. In the Sacrament of Matrimony, a husband and wife invite Christ to be at the center of their relationship, strengthening them through every season of life. We are honored to help couples prepare not just for a beautiful wedding day, but for a joyful and faithful marriage. We look forward to celebrating this sacred beginning with you and your loved ones.

Congratulations on your engagement. We are delighted for you, and we would be honored to celebrate your wedding at St. Therese.

Begin marriage preparation

To reserve a wedding date and begin preparation at St. Therese, please call our parish office at 952-473-4422 or email marriage@st-therese.org. Someone from our team will walk you through the full process, from your first meeting to your wedding day.

Marriage preparation at St. Therese includes the Fully Engaged program, which helps couples build the habits of communication, prayer, and mutual understanding that a lifelong marriage is made of.

We ask for a one-year notice for all weddings, that at least one family member be an active parishioner, that couples meet with the priest and/or deacon a few times throughout the year, and that they attend a marriage retreat. Additional details will be shared as you begin preparation.

Convalidation and annulments

Married civilly and wondering about having your marriage blessed in the Church? Or carrying questions about a previous marriage? These conversations are more common than you might think, and they are always met with compassion here. Contact our parish office at parish@st-therese.org or call 952-473-4422 to set up a meeting with Father to talk through your situation, including the annulment process, in complete confidence.

A marriage rooted in the parish

Your wedding day is one Mass; your marriage is meant for thousands of them. We hope St. Therese will be not only where you marry but where you worship, raise your family, and grow old together. If you are new to the parish, our I’m New Here page is a good place to start.
