Illness, age, or disability may keep a parishioner from joining us at Mass, but it never separates them from the parish family or from the Lord. St. Therese brings Holy Communion to the homebound, to those in assisted care, and to the hospitalized, so that no one is without the Eucharist.
Request Communion for the homebound
If you or a loved one is unable to come to Mass and would like to receive Holy Communion at home, please call the Parish Office at 952-473-4422 or email homeboundcommunion@st-therese.org. We will arrange for a minister to visit.
Serve as a homebound minister
Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion assist the priest and deacon in bringing the Precious Body of the Lord to those who cannot join us. Ministers should be baptized, confirmed parishioners of St. Therese with a love and reverence for the Eucharist; they are commissioned for a three-year term by the pastor, as directed by the archbishop. Training is provided.
Because this ministry involves regular interaction with vulnerable adults, the archdiocese requires all homebound, hospital, and assisted-care ministers to participate in our Safe Environment program; see the Safe Environment page for details.
